KETTLE WON created quite a stir in his 2-year-old debut during the 1998 Saratoga meet as the Todd Pletcher-trainee blew away the opposition with a ten and a half-length romp in maiden special company. He has since competed successfully on dirt and turf, going short and long, and fiinished second in the Fort Lauderdale Handicap-G3 over Gulfstream Park's turf course in March of 2000. A half-brother to the durable allowance horse GLIDE HOME, KETTLE WON is out of championSAFELY KEPT's half-sister SAFE AT THE PLATE, a stakes-placed winner of $114,923.
Ch.c. 1996, Colonial Affair–Safe At the Plate, by Double Zeus. Bred and raised at Dark Hollow Farm. Sold by Dark Hollow Farm for $120,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall Yearling Sale. Purchased by Anstu Stables for $370,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Florida Select Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. Currently standing stud in New York.

 

PLAY BINGO went on quite a tear in the second half of 2004, capturing five straight races, capped by a dominating 5 1/4-length score in Pimlico's Northern Dancer S. 

In 2005, PLAY BINGO rallied late to erase a 22-length deficit to caputre the 20th running of the $250,000 Maryland Million Classic at Laurel Park. And in 2006, he stormed to an impressive 2-length victory at Delaware Park in the $100,000 Sussex S. He made 25 starts over six seasons, won seven times, was second three times and third in seven more and retired with earnings of $455,240. 

Out of 2012 Maryland Broodmare of the Year POISED TO POUNCE, he is a half-brother to Gr.1 winner POSEIDON'S WARRIOR, stakes winner QUICK 'N SMART and stakes-placed Rhythmn Master.

The Speightstown filly THAT'S HOW I ROLL was always very special. The dark bay miss sold for $160,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling sale. Her value grew when she went through the Fasig-Tipton Florida Select 2-year-old sale, bringing $235,000.

THAT'S HOW I ROLL added black-type to the catalog page when in her first eight starts she hit the board five times. She made her juvenile debut in a Belmont Park maiden special weight that May, finishing third, and became a winner over Big Sandy in her next start, taking a five and a half-furlong maiden special by three lengths. In her first trip to Monmouth Park, she ran second in the Junior Champion S.

She then kicked of the 2010 season with a front-running victory in the Maryland Filly Championship at Laurel Park. Her next effort resulted in a close second-place finish in the Wide Country S.

THAT'S HOW I ROLL retired with earnings of nearly $100,000. She is one of three stakes horses from the first three foals out of her dam, former Dark Hollow Farm matron Chatter Chatter.
