KETTLE WON created quite a stir in his 2-year-old debut during the 1998 Saratoga meet as the Todd Pletcher-trainee blew away the opposition with a ten and a half-length romp in maiden special company. He has since competed successfully on dirt and turf, going short and long, and fiinished second in the Fort Lauderdale Handicap-G3 over Gulfstream Park's turf course in March of 2000. A half-brother to the durable allowance horse GLIDE HOME, KETTLE WON is out of championSAFELY KEPT's half-sister SAFE AT THE PLATE, a stakes-placed winner of $114,923.

Ch.c. 1996, Colonial Affair–Safe At the Plate, by Double Zeus. Bred and raised at Dark Hollow Farm. Sold by Dark Hollow Farm for $120,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall Yearling Sale. Purchased by Anstu Stables for $370,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Florida Select Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale. Currently standing stud in New York.

A stakes winner from a family of stakes winners, ACCESS TO CHARLIE was purchased in 2014 carrying her first foal (by TIZNOW). The daughter of Indian Charlie retired after winning or placing in seven stakes and earning $260,220. Her five lifetime wins included Laurel Park's Twixt S. at 3 and Geisha S. at 5.

ACCESS TO CHARLIE is a half-sister to 2014 Maryland Million Ladies S. BEAR ACCESS. Her dam, MEDIA ACCESS (by Devil's Bag), was a stakes winner and multiple stakes-placed runner of $211,372 and one of five stakes winners produced by the winning Storm Bird mare Foufa. The Maryland Broodmare of the Year of 2003, Foufa is also the dam of graded stakes winner FOUFA'S WARRIOR, multiple stakes winner and Gr. 1-placed MARYLAND MOON, multiple stakes winner and Gr. 3-placed FULL BRUSH, as well as CERTANTEE and the dams of Gr. 1 winner BRILLO DE SOL, Gr. 2 winner LONDON LANE, SUCCESSFUL AFFAIR and ICE MIST.
