A stakes winner of $159,200, HIGH MOMENT won Laurel Park's Dahlia S. at a mile on the turf, and Philadelphia Park's Dr. James Penny Memorial S. at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf over multiple graded stakes winner J'ray.
HIGH MOMENT's first two foals of racing age are winners, including graded stakes winner LUNA TIME, whose first stakes win came in the Grade 3 Obeah S. at Delaware Park. Earlier in the year she finished third in the Maryland Racing Media S. in her stakes debut. HIGH MOMENT's son by first-year sire TRAPPE SHOT, now named BEST DRIVE, sold for $230,000 at the 2015 Barretts Select 2-year-old sale. He initially sold out of the Dark Hollow consignment for $127,000 at the Keeneland September Yearling sale.
Out of multiple stakes-placed Apogee (a daughter of champion sprinter STAR DE NASKRA), HIGH MOMENT is a half-sister to Gr. 2 Gulfstream Park H. winner SIR WHIMSEY, a $521,784-earner who won or placed in nine stakes, with a third in the Gr. 1 Pimlico Special among his efforts. The family includes Gr. 1 winner and $836,765-earner JESSICA IS BACK. HIGH MOMENT's first three dams are all stakes performers.
Tragically, HIGH MOMENT died of foaling complications in 2015 after producing a filly by Trappe Shot, who survived.
