ForeverDreamingTrainer Michael Dickinson had the talented 3-year-old filly Forever Dreaming fit and ready to go for her first start, over the Pimlico turf, on July 16.

Racing for Willis Horton Racing LLC, who saw a promising prospect when purchasing the gray/roan daughter of The Factor for $300,000 at the OBS Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training in June 2020, Forever Dreaming dashed away from the gate in the one mile race and took charge of the pace. As the pace quickened heading into the far turn, she held her lead and wouldn’t be caught as she crossed the line a gate-to-wire winner.

Forever Dreaming was bred by David and JoAnn Hayden with long standing partners Dorsey Brown, Arnold and Susie Davidov and David and Alena Schwaber. They also bred her dam Dream, who fulfilled one dream after another for the partners.

A daughter of Malibu Moon, Dream was a winner first-time out, winning by daylight at Delaware Park at 2. She was three-times stakes-placed at 3 in six starts, once in graded company, before retiring to Dark Hollow farm as a broodmare. And for the partners she produced seven foals before they sold her in November 2019 for $170,000.

Three of Dream’s four foals to sell at public auction realized six figures as yearlings when sold through the Dark Hollow Farm consignment at the Keeneland September sale. Her $410,000 Ghostzapper colt led the way when sold in 2015. And the average sales price for Dream's four yearlings sold is $177,500.

While the partners no longer own Dream, they have two of her daughters in production. Caught Dream’n (by Blame), now 6, failed to reach her reserve when offered as a yearling, which proved fortuitous for her breeders. They brought her home, put her into training and watched her hit the board in six of her seven starts, including two stakes. Caught Dream’n delivered her first foal this year, a filly by Liam’s Map, and was bred back to The Factor.

Dream’s 4-year-old daughter Dazzle’m (by Super Saver) was not offered for sale and was bred for the first time this year, and is in foal to Sky Mesa.

The final Dream foal bred by the partners, 2-year-old colt Carnegie Hall (by Maclean’s Music) was also not offered for sale and will head to the track for his breeders. He is currently at the Middleburg Training Center with Madison Meyers and Kieron Norris getting certified to take advantage of the lucrative Virginia program.
